“It’s For The Kids!!” A Benefit for the Mae J. Strong Child Development Center of New Brunswick

New Brunswick, New Jersey September 22, 2011 –On Sunday, October 2nd, the Ale ‘N ‘Wich Pub in New Brunswick will be hosting a fundraiser to benefit The Mae J Strong Child Development Center of New Brunswick. Who sustained almost $50,000 worth of damage as a result of hurricane Irene. The event, produced by Laurence Hart, will feature acoustic sets from local musicians who are generously donating their time and talents to help raise funds for this urgent cause.

The remarkable line-up includes Jigs and The Pigs, Anthony Walker, Tommy Strazza, Jana Peri, Laurence Hart, Gary Kaplan of The Fletchers, The Stuntcocks, and more to be added. Doors open at 1:30pm and the show will begin at 2:00 PM.

In addition to funds raised via admission, proceeds from T-Shirt sales and select draught beer sold will also be donated, in its entirety to, the Center.

The Center is the only child care facility serving families with infants, toddlers and preschoolers who need quality, affordable care for their children while they work or attend school. They care for the children of school-age parents while they make progress toward their high school diplomas. Founded in 1970, they are the only child care center in central Jersey which provides care for infants as young as six weeks.
